Kameron Chatman Focusing on 5 Schools

Kameron Chatman is now focusing on five schools, his father told SNY.tv Thursday.

The Oregon native who is 6 feet, 6 1/2 inches is now working with a list of Arizona, Oregon, Michigan, UConn and USC.

Duke and Syracuse are out because they never offered, but expressed interest.

“Duke and Syracuse are out,” Canaan Chatman told SNY.tv.

As for visits, Kameron left for an unofficial to USC on Thursday.

“Just being in Southern Cal for the last couple of years, we gotta pay attention to what’s going on in the L.A. market,” Canaan told SNY.tv recently.

“USC has become a far more viable option. We like Coach [Andy] Enfield. We like what they’re doing. Cameron has [former teammate] Roschon Prince there. They were high school teammates. We like what they’re doing and what they’re trying to build.”

Kameron will take an official to Michigan Sept. 6-8 and to Arizona Sept. 27-29. He has a tentative visit set to Oregon for Sept. 13.

“We like Michigan,” Canaan told SNY.tv recently. “I’ve known Coach [John] Beilien and he’s known me since  I was playing. Obviously, on the year that they had you gotta pay attention to that.

“They’re trying to lock down some national recruits and we definitely like Michigan.”
