As reported here earlier this week, 6-foot-11 Dallas big man Myles Turner has trimmed his list to 26 and plans to cut it again at the end of the month.
“I have trimmed my college list from 60 to 25. They will be released soon. I want to extend my thanks to every school that has recruited me!” he Tweeted.
“I will release my top 10-12 schools at the end of this month!”
After spending time in Los Angeles at an Under Armour event, Brooklyn Lincoln guard Isaiah Whitehead has added interest or offers from a trio of new schools but is still focusing on some old stalwarts.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Coney Island, N.Y., added an offer from Miami and interest from Arizona and UCLA.
“I think he’s picked up his game right now,” Lincoln coach Tiny Morton told SNY.tv. “A lot of schools that were recruiting other people are now jumping onto the bandwagon.”
Iona has signed 6-foot-11 Daniel Robinson, a former FIU commit who decommitted after the coaching change there.
Robinson said he chose Iona for one reason.
“To summarize into two words: Coach Cluess,” Robinson told SNY.tv of head coach Tim Cluess.
“He has been a coach of his word since he recruited me. I feel like we are going to have an excellent player-coach relationship because he is a coach that doesn’t take shortcuts on and off the court.”

Doug McDermott appears to be the only member of the USA World University Games team who is a walk-on.
After Creighton’s Grant Gibbs was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA Tuesday, Greg McDermott, the Creighton coach and Doug’s father, offered to pay his son’s tuition because the program now has more than 13 scholarship players.
