Kennard, King Add High-Major Offers (UPDATED)

After performing in front of some of the biggest names in college basketball this past weekend at the Peach Jam, Luke Kennard and V.J. King both picked up some high-major offers.

The 6-foot-5 Kennard, a 2015 combo guard, added offers Sunday from Kentucky, Duke and Michigan State, his father confirmed to SNY.tv.

“Yes, he was very excited,” Mark Kennard said of Luke.

“[Calipari] said he was excited about Luke and that he was really skilled and he wanted him in a Kentucky uniform. Luke is appreciative and feels blessed.”

Kentucky coach John Calipari, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Michigan State coach Tom Izzo all watched Kennard with the King James Shooting Stars 16U team at the Peach Jam, as did Louisville coach Rick Pitino.

“[Pitino] just said they were going to be watching Luke,” Mark said.

Meantime, the 6-6 King, a 2016 wing who recently won a gold medal with the USA U16 team at the FIBA Americas Championship, added UConn and Georgetown offers, his father, Vince, told SNY.tv.

He previously said he had offers from Ohio State, N.C. State and Wisconsin.
