Rashad Vaughn to Findlay Prep

Rashad Vaughn, one of the top shooting guards in the Class of 2014, is on the move.

The 6-foot-5 Vaughn announced Tuesday he will spend his senior season at Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep after leaving his hometown Robbinsdale (Minn.) Cooper.

“My family decided that was the best decision for me and we developed a good relationship with the coaching staff,” Vaughn told SNY.tv.

Findlay head coach Todd Simon recently accepted an assistant coaching position at UNLV and former Georgetown and NBA player Jerome Williams is expected to move to head coach at Findlay after serving as an assistant.

Vaughn will spend this week at the Reebok Classic Breakout in Philadelphia and will then compete in the Nike Global Challenge next week in Washington, D.C. He is teamed there on a loaded Midwest team that includes fellow Minnesota guard Tyus Jones as well as big men Cliff Alexander and Jahlil Okafor.

Vaughn is being recruited by Michigan State, Minnesota, North Carolina and Iowa State, among others.
