L.J. Peak pulled a big-time fake during his college announcement Tuesday.

The 6-foot-5 Gaffney (S.C.) small forward initially put on a South Carolina baseball cap before throwing it off and putting on a Georgetown cap.

The No. 82 prospect in the Class of 2014 according to Rivals, he also considered Florida State.

“He’s very good,” CP3 coach Steve Shelton previously told SNY.tv of Peak. “He’s always played inside because of his height. He’s only been playing on the perimeter the last two years.

“The biggest thing he brings is toughness. He can guard a shooting guard or a wing and is a capable scorer.”

Peak is the Hoyas’ third 2014 commit, following Isaac Copeland and Tre Campbell.
