Julius Randle began his latest recruiting visit to Texas on Friday.
The 6-foot-9 senior forward from Prestonwood (TX) Christian will be on campus for Saturday’s Big 12 game against Oklahoma State.
“My next two visits are to Texas and Kansas, so I’m really looking forward to those,” he wrote on his USA Today blog. “Kansas will have College GameDay there too, so I know that will be crazy.”
Randle will be on Kansas’ campus next weekend for the Texas game, so he will actually see the Longhorns twice in eight days.
He recently visited N.C. State, and is also considering Kentucky, Florida and Oklahoma.
FRAZIER SETS TEXAS TECH VISIT
Keith Frazier, a 6-foot-5 unsigned shooting guard out of Dallas Kimball, will visit Texas Tech officially Feb. 12-14.
He visited SMU last weekend and enjoyed it
“Great visit, Erven “Big E” Davis, Frazier’s mentor, told SNY.tv. “Enjoyed it and players embraced him.”
Frazier is also considering Texas and Texas A&M, with Auburn and Georgetown showing interest.
Wherever he lands, Frazier could be a major contributor.
“The sky’s the limit,” Davis previously told SNY.tv. “He will be a dynamic player wherever he goes. He only gets better if he gets to the next level and his body gets stronger and he gets more and more knowledge about how to play the game.
“His athletic ability and talent is second to none. Whatever school he goes to they’re gonna get a kid that ‘s going to help the team get to the next level.”
KENTUCKY TO WATCH MCINTOSH, ERGAS
Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua is expected to watch 2013 G/F MiKyle McIntosh and 2015 G Jamar Ergas tonight (Friday) at 22 Feet Academy in Jackson, Ky.
Antigua was supposed to watch them Monday, but was unable to make it.
“His skillset has improved tremendously,” 22 Feet coach Ryan Schmidt recently told SNY.tv of McIntosh. “He plays point guard for us as well. He’s about as good as I’ve seen.
“He’s 6-6, 225 and his ball-handling ability is pretty phenomenal. He’s a streaky shooter. That’s what he wants to improve on. He has really good mechanics. When he gets to the next level, he has a chance to be a premier guard once he gets his shooting down.
