Hofstra Lands High-Scoring Iverson Fleming

Hofstra has landed high-scoring guard Iverson Fleming of North Brunswick (N.J.) High School.

Fleming has scored at least 20 points five times this year, including a 33-point outing against South Brunswick. He also put 29 on Woodbridge.

The 6-foot-1, 158-pound Fleming chose Hofstra over LIU and Caldwell College and interest from Sacred Heart.

“I picked Hofstra because the coaching staff made me feel welcome the first time I stepped foot on campus,” he told SNY.tv. “I got a warm reception from the coaching staff. And from what I understand they have an excellent basketball program as well as academics.

“I will bring to the team my knowledge of the game, my speed and athleticism and my leadership abilities, also my honest and integrity.”

Fleming joins Hargrave Military Academy wing Gervelle Kidd in Mo Cassara’s 2013 class.
