Angel Nunez to Gonzaga

Former Louisville forward Angel Nunez has a new address.

“Angel Nunez is a Gonzaga Bulldog. It’s official,” his mentor, Eric Martinez, told SNY.tv. “He just felt comfortable. The style of play is his style of play..”

The 6-foot-8 native of Washington Heights, N.Y., committed on his weekend visit to the school. He would be eligible in the second semester of the 2013-14 season after sitting out a year per NCAA regulations.

Nunez has not played for Louisville this season. HeĀ reportedly suffered a stomach virus before the season began and then endured a concussion during practice Nov. 13.

He averaged 2.0 points in 4.6 minutes at Louisville during the 2011-12 season.
