NEW YORK — Will Rasheed Wallace play for the Knicks in Tuesday’s intra-city battle against the Brooklyn Nets?
Wallace missed Sunday’s 112-106 victory over the Denver Nuggets with a sore left foot and his status going forward remains unclear.
“I don’t know,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “It could be day-to-day, at this point I don’t know.”
The 6-11 Wallace has been a key addition off the bench so far, averaging 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds.
Yet he is 38 and it remains unclear how his body will hold up after two years away from the NBA.
Marcus Camby also did not dress for the fifth straight game because of a sore left foot.
The Knicks will need some size against the Nets, even though Brooklyn could be without Brook Lopez.
If Wallace and Camby can’t go, Woodson will have to rely on 40-year-old Kurt Thomas, along with 6-8 rookie Chris Copeland and possibly James White.
