NEW YORK — Kuran Iverson is focusing on four schools and is expected to make a decision sometime “soon,” according to his mentor, Andre Harrington.
The 6-foot-9 Iverson is considering UConn, Syracuse, Florida and Memphis at this point, Harrington told SNY.tv Friday.
Asked about a timetable on a decision, Harrington said, “Not sure, but definitely real soon to get the process over with.”
As reported here earlier, Iverson will spend his senior year at Fishburne (Va.) Military after playing at Hartford Northwest Catholic.
He visited UConn this week and will also trip to Syracuse, Florida and Memphis before deciding.
“We’re going to take visits to Syracuse, Memphis and Florida before he makes his own choice,” Harrington said.
Iverson is due to play Saturday in the Big Strick Classic at City College on the USA Team that also includes the Harrison Twins and Robert Hubbs, among others.
He was also invited to the 2012 Under Armour Elite 24 game Aug. 25 in Venice Beach, Calif.
BIG STRICK FREE THROWS
Andrew Wiggins was supposed to play for the USA team here Saturday but will not make the trip. He and teammate Tyler Ennis are stuck in Toronto due to weather concerns and it remains unclear if Ennis will make the game, either….Terrence Samuel, a shooting guard from Brooklyn South Shore, confirmed that he pushed his UConn visit to Aug. 24. He is battling a bad ankle…Expressions 16s coach Tyron Boswell confirmed that 2014 shooting guard Jared Terrell will attend Brewster (N.H.) Academy this upcoming season. Big man Kyle Washington is also expected to join him. Terrell was selected for the NYC team, but is out with a fractured ankle.

Like his list, all solid choices.
If he goes to Florida that will be a great class.
