NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — For the second straight day here at the Peach Jam, Chris McCullough drew a Who’s Who of coaches to his game.
“He will be in college for one year,” one Division I coach told SNY.tv of the 6-foot-10 McCullough during Team Scan’s win over the Houston Hoops. “Just look at his skills.”
Among those on hand to watch McCullough and Team Scan Friday were Louisville coach Rick Pitino and assistant Kevin Keatts, UConn coach Jim Calhoun and assistant Glen Miller, Rutgers coach Mike Rice, Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua, St. John’s assistant Tony Chiles, Syracuse assistants Adrian Autry, Gerry McNamara and Nick Resavy,Arizona assistant Book Richardson, Pitt assistant Brandin Knight, Villanova assistant Billy Lange and Indiana assistant Kenny Johnson, among many others.

Asked by a Louisville reporter which schools were on him the hardest, McCullough said, “Syracuse, St. John’s, Arizona, Kansas, Indiana, UConn.”
On Thursday, he also listed Florida.
Asked specifically about Louisville, he said, “Last time I talked to them was like three weeks ago. I know a lot about their program. I watch Big East basketball.”
Asked about UConn, he said, “I’m considering them also.”
He reiterated that he plans to cut his list “by September.”
In other McCullough news, his AAU coach, Terrance “Munch” Williams said despite a report to the contrary, it is not official that McCullough will attend Brewster (N.H.) Academy next season.
That has been rumored for some time, but Williams and Brewster coach Jason Smith have not yet made any official announcement.
