Kennedy Visits SMU, BU Up Next

Former Villanova forward Markus Kennedy enjoyed his trip this week to SMU and plans to head to Boston University next.

“The visit was great,” Kennedy told SNY.tv by text. “Liked the team and the coaches and Dallas is amazing.”

New SMU coach Larry Brown has already landed transfers Josiah Turner (Arizona) and Crandall Head (Illinois).

The 6-foot-9 freshman forward is also considering Georgia Tech, Florida, Ohio State and Rhode Island, Brewster Academy coach Jason Smith told SNY.tv.

“I plan on going to BU next,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy, a native of Philadelphia, appeared in 31 games for the Wildcats in 2011-12 and earned three starting assignments. He averaged 3.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 14.8 minutes per contest in his first season at the collegiate level.
