How’s it going, basketball world?

I’m Hallice Cooke, and I will be spending this whole month in the lab working on my craft. After winning the Rumble In The Bronx, I could’ve been like most kids and taken a couple days off, but for those who know me know I’m a gym rat and I was right back in the gym the next day.

Josh Brown Opens Up Recruitment (UPDATED)

Josh Brown’s stock is on the rise and he’s decided to re-open his recruitment after pledging to Temple last season.

“Yes, I did,” the 6-foot-2 2013 St. Anthony combo guard told SNY.tv after the news had previously been reported by several outlets. “The reason why I did is I don’t want to regret anything when all is said and done. I want to just enjoy the process.

“Temple is still top on my list. The new schools I have now are Rhode Island, Gonzaga, Virginia and Richmond.”

St. Anthony assistant coach Eric Harrield said he had also heard from Miami, Rutgers, St. Joe’s and Indiana.

Jackson Calls Knicks ‘Clumsy’

Phil Jackson called the Knicks’ pairing of Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony “clumsy” and said he had no interest in coaching the team.

“They never called and I kind of appreciate that,” Jackson told “Real Sports with Bryant Gumblel” in an interview to air Tuesday that was obtained by the New York Post.

“Because if they called, it would open the door and they didn’t want to open the door.

“I wasn’t going to take that job, that’s for sure,” he said, adding that he had considered the position and called it “special.”

Davis Signs With Arn Tellem; Will Work Out for NOLA

Anthony Davis, the presumptive No. 1 pick in the June 28 NBA Draft, has chosen Arn Tellem as his agent, reportedly over Leon Rose of CAA.

SportsNola.com also reported that the 6-foot-10 former Kentucky star will work out for the New Orleans Hornets Tuesday. New Orleans holds the No. 1 pick in the draft.

“We are thrilled that Anthony has chosen Wasserman and very much look forward to helping him launch what will undoubtedly be a hugely successful NBA career,” Thad Foucher, Anthony’s agent along with Tellem, said in a statement.

Savon Goodman to UNLV

On the same day his Philadelphia Constitution teammate Daiquan Walker committed to UCF, Savon Goodman also made a verbal pledge.

The 6-foot-6 wing chose UNLV over SMU and Pittsburgh, sources confirmed to SNY.tv. after Ryan Greene initially broke the news.

“He’s a terrific athlete,” New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski previously told SNY.tv of Goodman, who averaged 28 points and 14 rebounds this season. “He’s 6-6 and he has a motor with a four-year warranty. He plays extremely hard.

Jermaine Lawrence Lists a Top Three

Jermaine Lawrence, a special 2013 player from Pope John (N.J.), told reporters at the NBA Top 100 Camp he has a top three.

The 6-foot-10 Lawrence told Jeff Borzello and Matt Whitfield he has Rutgers, Syracuse and Florida atop his list, in no particular order.

Lawrence would be a tremendous get for any of those schools, and he would be the biggest recruit to date for Rutgers coach Mike Rice if he were to land him.

As previously reported by SNY.tv, Lawrence will attend the Rutgers Elite Camp next weekend and begins play there Saturday.
