Following a weekend official visit to Georgetown, Bradley “B.J.” Hayes now says the Big East school is his leader.
“Yes, sir,” the 6-foot-11 center from Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood High told SNY.tv by text prior to getting on a plane home to Florida.
“It went real good, I liked it,” he added. “I really liked the staff there. The team was easy to get along with and they work real hard. The whole coaching staff was with me for a lot of the visit.”
Hayes is also considering Florida and Texas A&M, but postponed a recent visit to UConn.
The Huskies then landed 6-10 Phil Nolan of Milwaukee earlier this week to address some of their frontcourt needs.
Florida has yet to offer but may redouble their efforts now that Anthony Bennett of Findlay Prep has eliminated the Gators and is down to UNLV, Oregon and Kentucky.
Georgetown missed out on Nerlens Noel when he chose Kentucky over Syracuse and the Hoyas.
Landing the raw Hayes would be a nice late addition for the Hoyas.
At this point, Hayes is not sure if he will take any other visits before the late signing period ends May 16.
“I’m not sure, to be honest,” he said.
