Savon Goodman’s Recruitment Heating Up (UPDATED)

Savon Goodman’s recruitment is heating up.

The 6-foot-6 wing from Philly Constitution High who decommitted from Villanova has a number of visits coming up.

“We are scheduling [official] visits to Pitt and Missouri and unofficials to Temple and Seton Hall,” Constitution coach Rob Moore told SNY.tv. “We are also waiting to hear back from St. John’s. Interest is renewing from UCLA.

“He is open in his recruitment and prep [school] is still an option.”

Moore, who previously told SNY.tv that Goodman is qualified for next year, said no dates have been set and he would work on setting them up beginning Monday.

“He’s a terrific athlete,” New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski told SNY.tv of Goodman, who averaged 28 points and 14 rebounds this season. “He’s a 6-6 and he has a motor with a four-year warranty. He plays extremely hard.

“His athleticism has always surpassed by far his skill level. He’s improving as a shooter but the strength of his game is attacking the basket and second effort. He does play hard and he’s very athletic. The more athletic game they play, the better suited he is [to that school].”
