Troy Williams, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound wing from Hampton (Va.) Phoebus, has cut his list to three schools.
“He cut it to three,” his uncle, Boo Williams, told SNY.tv, confirming a report by Scout.com. “He cut it to [North] Carolina, Kentucky and Georgetown.”
Williams had previously considered Villanova and Virginia Tech.
“I think there’s no timetable [on a decision],” Boo Williams said. “It will probably be sometime in the spring. It could me May, June but probably before July.”
Williams confirmed that his nephew recently met North Carolina assistant Steve Robinson on a visit to North Carolina for an NCAA Tournament game between the Hoyas and the Tar Heels. His aunt, Terri Williams-Flournoy, is the women’s coach at Georgetown.
Boo also said Troy will spend a week in early April training with John Lucas in Houston.
