Linsanity is fired up for Tebowmania.
With Tim Tebow now a Jet, he will share the same city with fellow sensation Jeremy Lin of the Knicks.
“It’s awesome. I’m just excited for him and to see what he does,” Lin told the New York Post after scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter of Knicks’ 82-79 win over the 76ers last night. “We’ll see what happens next year, but I’m excited obviously that he’s going to be in New York.”
Lin didn’t cause a stir until after he began playing, while Tebow has triggered an uproar before playing his first game.
Lin’s advice?
“Everyone gave me some advice; they said, ‘Make sure not to read the papers,’ ” Lin told the Post. “But I don’t want to say that to offend you guys. But that’s what I’ve been told. I don’t really read anything. I think it helps me.”
Both are faith-based Christian athletes who speak often of their beliefs, yet they’ve only met once.
“I’ve only talked to him like once,” Lin said. “But he’s a great guy from everything I hear, and the conversation I had with him was great as well.”
