Tyler Ennis, one of the top 2013 point guards, will visit Syracuse unofficially Feb. 11 for the UConn game, his father told SNY.tv.

The 6-foot-3 Ennis is considering Syracuse, along with Kansas, Arizona, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Memphis and others.

Ennis and his father, Tony McIntyre of CIA Bounce, are in the midst of planning February visits to Arizona and Louisville.

“I’m interested in all of them,” Ennis recently told SNY.tv.

UConn assistant Kevin Ollie was also at St. Benedict’s Friday for Ennis and 6-2 freshman Isaiah Briscoe, who is considering the Huskies, Syracuse and others.

Obekpa Visits DePaul, Has Four Remaining

Chris Obekpa, the top shot-blocking big man available in the Class of 2012, took an official visit to DePaul last weekend and has four officials remaining.

The 6-foot-9 Obekpa, averaging 12 points, 15 rebounds and 9.5 blocks for Our Savior New American (13-1), is considering 12 schools and no other officials have been mapped out, Our Savior assistant Eric Jaklitsch told SNY.tv.

“Everybody’s trying to get us back to campus,” Jaklitsch said. “It’s tough when we’re playing and everything.”

Obekpa’s list currently includes DePaul, St. John’s, Seton Hall, UConn, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Providence, UCLA, Texas, Oregon, Florida and Kentucky. Everyone but Kentucky has offered, Jaklitsch said.

St. Anthony Adds Jefferson, Lincoln to Schedule

In the wake of the cancellation of the SNY Invitational, defending national champion St. Anthony has added games next month against New York City powers Thomas Jefferson and Lincoln.

The Friars (13-0), currently No. 5 in the Five Star Basketball Power Rankings, will take part in a doubleheader at Lincoln on Feb. 15. St. Anthony will meet Jefferson in the first game, likely around 5 p.m., followed by Lincoln against St. Raymond’s.

St. Anthony has also added a game against Isaiah Whitehead and Lincoln Feb. 21 at St. Anthony.

“It’s a good test for me personally,” Lincoln coach Tiny Morton told SNY.tv. “I love to coach against a Hall of Famer [St. Anthony coach Bob Hurley]. As a coach, you get a chance to coach against someone like that, you get a chance to steal some things before your playoffs start.”

St. John’s Frosh Get Chance to Shine on National Stage

NEW YORK — Moe Harkless and D’Angelo Harrison were seniors in high school when St. John’s ran then-No. 3 Duke out of Madison Square Garden by 15 points last Jan. 30.

A year later, Harkless and Harrison will get a chance to test themselves on a national stage when the Johnnies (9-11 3-6 Big East) visit No. 8 Duke (16-3, 4-1 ACC) Saturday in a nationally televised game (noon, ESPN).

The 6-foot-8 Harkless is averaging 16 points per game and the 6-3 Harrison 15.5, putting them at first and second, respectively, among freshmen scorers in the Big East. Harkless also ranks fifth overall in the Big East in rebounding (8.6 rpg).
