7-foot-3 Boris Bojanovsky Adding Offers

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Remember the name Boris Bojanovsky.

A 7-foot-3 native of the Slovak Republic, Bojanovsky is now playing for the Canarias Basketball Academy, which is currently in the U.S. on a weeklong tour.

CBA head coach Rob Orellana says the big guy has offers from N.C. State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, as well as several SEC and Pac-12 schools.

Playing last summer in the U18 European Championship, he averaged 22 points and 13.3 rebounds.

Coaches from Virginia Tech, Virginia and Mississippi State watched Bojanovsky play Sunday in New Rochelle.

One coach compared him to Maryland big man Alex Len, saying he’s “not as bouncy but by his sophomore year will be a player.”

Another said he “needs strength but has a good skill set.”
