Chris Thomas has expanded his top three into a top five.
The No. 1 shooting guard in the Class of 2013, Thomas now lists Xavier, Kentucky, Florida, Missouri and Iowa State as his top five, according to his grandmother, Latonia Smith.
“Those are his top five right now but that could change at any moment,” she told SNY.tv by text.
Seton Hall and Arkansas have also called, Smith said.

D’Antoni said the team’s core “needs’ to win the franchise’s first NBA title since 1973 sometime in the next few years.
“Everybody knows how difficult that is,” D’Antoni, whose team was swept out of the first round of the playoff last year by the Boston Celtics, said Monday at Knicks media day. “But that’s our goal. Our goal is to win a championship without a doubt. Whether it’s this year, next year or the year after, this core of guys need to win a championship before they get too old.
GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Carmelo Anthony suffered a hyper-extended left knee Monday after stepping on Iman Shumpert’s foot and falling to the floor at practice.
Anthony, who is coming off knee and elbow surgeries during the offseason, is listed as day-to-day.
“I tried to plant my foot [and] slipped,” Anthony said. “I kind of hyper-extended my knee a little bit but I’m fine. No worries.”
“He’s playing tomorrow,” added Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni. “If not, it’s the next day.”
Despite being embroiled in the Bernie Fine sexual molestation scandal for much of the season, Syracuse is the new No. 1 team in the land.
But that is hardly the team’s ultimate goal.
So says senior point guard Scoop Jardine.
“It’s great to get recognition, but for us it doesn’t stop there,” Jardine told SNY.tv Monday. “It’s not our goal. Our goal is to win a championship.”
GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The Knicks on Monday announced the signings of free agent guard/forward Devin Green and forward/center Chris Hunter to bring their roster to 13.
Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
The 6-foot-7 Green played 27 games for the L.A. Lakers in 2005-06 for a total of 136 minutes. The Hampton University alum spent the last five seasons playing overseas in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Puerto Rico, China and Bulgaria.
Help appears to be on the way for depleted St. John’s.
Amir Garrett, a 6-foot-7 wing now at Bridgton (Maine) Academy, will finish his final math exam on Friday and could head down to Queens later that day.
“I think the plan is leave Friday,” Bridgton coach Whit Lesure told SNY.tv by phone.
St. John’s is down to six recruited scholarship players after guard Nurideen Lindsey announced he would transfer.
The Johnnies (4-5) play Saturday against Fordham at MSG, but Garrett likely wouldn’t be eligible for that game.
