Julius Randle On Carolina & Recruiting

In this video interview with Harrison Sanford of FiveStarBasketball.com, 2013 forward Julius Randle discusses what he likes about North Carolina.

“They do good with bigs and just using players’ versatilty, like Harrison Barnes and James McAdoo,” said Randle, the MVP of the City of Palms after his Prestonwood Christian team beat Grace Prep, 79-64 in the final. “They get out in transition and I love to run. High pressure defense. You can just tell by the way they play their style is fun.

“And plus, North Carolina blue is a beautiful color.”

Randle is also considering Duke and previously said he plans to visit both schools soon. Both play on New Year’s Day.

Randle also said Kentucky coach John Calipari, who was also at City of Palms, sees similarities between himself and Kentucky’s Terrence Jones.

“But I’m my own player and I do my own thing,” Randle said.
