Kansas’s Robinson Suffers Hyperextended Knee

Kansas forward Thomas Robinson hyperextended his left knee during practice Thursday.

“The results from the MRI were positive for Thomas,” Kansas coach Bill Self said in a statement. “He will take a couple of days off to let it calm down, but hopefully will not miss any significant time.”

Self is counting on the 6-foot-9 junior, along with senior guard Tyshawn Taylor, to have a big season. The Jayhawks are the co-favorites to win the Big 12 despite losing Marcus and Markieff Morris, Josh Selby and several other key contributors from last season’s team.

Robinson averaged 7.6 points and 6.4 rebounds last season.

The Jayhawks play their first exhibition game Tuesday night against Pittsburg State. They open the regular season Nov. 11 against Towson.

Sounds to me like it’s the JAYHAWK fans, who are taking whatever cheap shots they can in the mean time.

Don’t cry Jawhawk fans. You can root for UofA too!

  • I am back.

    Been alittle while.
But, you all should remember me from back in the day…of MoMo release from USC.

ps- we are also hearing Texas will leave the Big12 by next year. LA is hearing this news.

  • Of course only KU fans would consider razzing a kid over an injury. SMH.

  • I’m sorry was this article about anything Arizona? Get off deez

  • USC= Jessie?

  • was Arizona mentioned in this article?

  • For all those Jaycock fans.

    I will remind you.

I talked about the NCAA put USC in sanctions in BB. It is here on Zag comments.

I talked about Tim being let go.
I talked about unconditional releases for USC players.

I said this, months before it happened.
    I know the west coast.

    So hear me know…
-a west coast school has reached out to a coach.
That midwest coach is surely interested. He also reached out.
When Texas leaves ,next year, this coach will also leave his present school.

He will not stay in the Big12.
He wants to coach in a SuperConference.

  • i will remind you usc that this article is about kansas. nothing related to usc, ua, or anything related out west. let your lousy obession with ku go.
