PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Former Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy likes where the Knicks are, wherever that is once the lockout ends, but he doesn’t see them coming out of the Eastern Conference anytime soon.

“I don’t think anybody’s beating the Heat in the East,” he said Friday at Rutgers at the first annual clinic to benefit The Brayden Carr Foundation.

“I think the Heat will continue to get better. I think the Heat will face less noise this year.”

He added: “I still think they’re going to win multiple championships.”

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Schools from Miami to Ohio State to Oregon are under investigation by the NCAA.

Naismith Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley of St. Anthony, Kansas coach Bill Self, Kentucky coach John Calipari, former Knicks and Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy, former NBA coach Larry Brown and Rutgers coach Mike Rice gave clinics to more than 500 coaches at the Rutgers Athletic Center.

Yet Kentucky coach John Calipari says the Wildcats could have approached UCLA’s total if the one-and-done rule were not in effect.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jason Gonzalez, 19, of The Bronx as a suspect in the shooting of Arizona junior wing Kevin Parrom of The Bronx.
