    NEW YORK — If Jeff Robinson heads to Europe to play basketball this season, Seton Hall may be able to form an all-European starting five.

    Andre Barrett plans to play in France, and Jeremy Hazell is weighing offers from Israel, Italy and Spain. Former Seton Hall players Brian Laing and Jamar Nutter have also played in Europe.

    “Right now I’m waiting for some feedback from a couple teams over there, mainly Germany, Italy and Spain right now,” the 6-foot-6 Robinson said Thursday night at Baruch College after playing in the Nike Pro City League with Hazell for The Uptowners, who were eliminated from playoff contention.

    For years, Jordan Strawberry has been used to the spotlight.

    The son of former Mets and Yankees slugger Darryl Strawberry and the brother of former Maryland basketball star D.J. Strawberry, the younger Strawberry has never appeared on The Simpsons or The Apprentice and has never been featured in a rap song. At the same time, he is not looking to do that.

    “It’s real difficult,” he said. “I’ve gotta live up to the big name of him [Darryl] every time I step on the floor. Anytime people see ‘Strawberry’ on the back of my uniform people want to come watch and see what I can do as his son.”

    DaJuan Coleman, one of the premier centers in the Class of 2012, plans to visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness Oct. 15.

    “He wants to go to Kentucky for Midnight Madness,” said a source with direct knowledge.

    Coleman, who left today for the adidas Nations event in Los Angeles Aug. 5-8, was not immediately available for comment.

    The source said Kentucky, Syracuse and Ohio State currently lead for the 6-foot-9 big man from Jamesville DeWitt High, and that Ohio State has made a big push into what was previously a two-team race.

    NEW YORK –– One of the best basketball leagues in the country right now — if not the best — is nine blocks from my house on the lower East Side of Manhattan.

    On any given night, the Nike Pro City League at Baruch College features several NBA players, plus a mix of other pro and college players going at it before capacity crowds of about 2,000 fans.

    On Tuesday night, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder went mano-a-mano with John Lucas III of the Chicago Bulls (pictured courtesy New York Times). Lucas III, out of Oklahoma State, poured in a game-high 60 points to Durant’s 41, but Durant led The Franchise to a 146-143 overtime victory.

    Roy Hibbert of the Indiana Pacers (13 points, 15 rebounds) and Sundiata Gaines of the Nets (18 points) also played for The Franchise.

    The 12-member roster for the 2011 World University Games has been finalized.

    Shabazz Napier of UConn and Aaric Murray of West Virginia were the final two cuts Wednesday night.
