Josh Selby Talks Knicks Workout

Here’s some sound of Kansas freshman Josh Selby talking after his Knicks workout Friday.

Both Selby and Dix Hills, N.Y., small forward Tobias Harris worked out for New York, which owns the 17th pick in the June 23 NBA Draft.

Selby, who is projected by DraftExpress.com to go No. 27 to the Nets, averaged 7.9 points during a sub-par season in which he was injured and suspended for receiving “improper benefits” from Robert “Bay” Frazier, Carmelo Anthony’s business manager.

“[Anthony] just told me do what I do and everything will be fine,” Selby said, according to the New York Post. “So I decided to just come out and play my game. I’m trying to show I can play both positions, play-make and score if I need to. I’d love to play here. I dream about it. That’s always been my dream.”

The 6-7 Harris, who spent one season at Tennessee, is projected by DraftExpress.com to go at No. 18 to the Washington Wizards, but said he would like to play for the Knicks.

“Being from Dix Hills and seeing the Knicks through the years and what they’ve brought to the table now, the vibe the metro area has is pretty special,” Harris said, according to the Post. “That would be a great feeling for me.

“I have the opportunity to be drafted, I’ll just be another great player to play a role and bring a winning attitude to the team.”
