Purvis Reaffirms Louisville Commitment

Rodney Purvis reaffirmed his commitment to Louisville in the wake of former Louisville assistant Tim Fuller leaving for Missouri.

“No. There is no change. I’m still committed to Louisville,” Purvis told NewsObserver.com Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard from the Class of 2012 verbally committed to Louisville over Duke in December.

Louisville coach Rick Pitino will have a totally new staff next season. Fuller departed. Steve Masiello is the new head coach at Manhattan. Mark Lieberman was demoted to Director of Basketball Operations. Ralph Willard, the current Director of Basketball Ops, is retiring.

Former Florida assistant Richard Pitino, the coach’s son, is expected to fill one of the assistant coaching slots.
