Djurisic to Georgia

Nemanja Djurisic, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound power forward from South Kent (Conn.), verbally committed to Georgia, as first reported by Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop.

South Kent coach Kelvin Jefferson said Djurisic, originally from Montenegro, also had offers from N.C. State, Arizona State, ECU, Minnesota, Kansas State and Utah. He averaged 18 points and nine rebounds.

“Nemi really enjoyed the coaching staff at Georgia,” Jefferson said by text. “The facilities were top notch and he feels that he has a chance to compete for minutes on a team that has a chance to be very good.

“Nemi is a very skilled four man. He can score and rebound in the paint or he can stretch defenses with his ability to shoot the three.”
