Chris Thomas will enroll at Phoenix (Az.) Westwind Prep Academy Wednesday, according to head coach Gary Trousdale.

Thomas, a Denver native, is a 6-foot-5 point guard ranked No. 3 in the Class of 2013 by ESPN.com and No. 4 by Rivals.

“We’re extremely excited to have Chris join our basketball family and look forward to him taking Westwind Prep to even bigger and better things in the future,” Trousdale said by phone.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Having landed two NBA superstars in Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, the Knicks are still focused on landing a third in 2012.

Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard will all become free agents in the summer of 2012 and the Knicks are in prime position to land one of them.

“If we choose to,” Knicks president Donnie Walsh said Tuesday. “You could divide it up and get two players. It depends on what you want to do. But we’ll have cap room. No matter what happens we’ll have cap room.”

Having already raided Iona for its basketball coach, Seton Hall has now done the same with its athletic director.

Seton Hall on Tuesday named former Iona AD Pat Lyons, 36, as its new athletic director.

The Big East school had been without a full-time AD since Joe Quinlan stepped down in September.

Lyons, who served as Kevin Willard’s boss when Willard was the basketball coach at Iona, is expected to join the Pirates full-time on March 28.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Knicks president Donnie Walsh says he has no idea how much discussion Isiah Thomas had with Knicks owner Jim Dolan leading up to the Carmelo Anthony trade.

“I can care less,” Walsh said Tuesday. “There are a lot of people talking to him. I could care less.”

Various reports said Dolan was still consulting with Thomas, the former Knicks coach and president who is now the head coach at Florida International.

“I have no idea, only what I read in your paper,” Walsh said.

“I’m assuming Isiah’s getting ready for the NCAA tournament. That’s what I’m assuming.”
