UNION, N.J. — After serving the first game of a two-game suspension Saturday, Kamari Murphy couldn’t wait to get back on the court Sunday.

Murphy, 6-foot-9 senior forward, scored 20 points, including a highlight-reel breakaway dunk, and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Lincoln, No. 21 in the USA Today Super 25, to a 63-52 victory over St. Raymond’s in the PrimeTime Shootout at Kean University’s Harwood Arena.

“I definitely had a lot of anger behind me,” Murphy said. “The incident that happened wasn’t even that serious for me to get suspended for two games. But I just felt like you’ve got to try take advantage sometimes.

UNION, N.J. — Andre Drummond and St. Thomas More figured to present St. Patrick with one of the last true roadblocks between the Celtics and an undefeated season and potential national championship.

The 6-foot-10 Drummond is the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2012 and the Chancellors are battle-tested from playing a rigorous prep school schedule.

But Michael Gilchrist and his teammates rose to the challenge — once again.

With Kentucky coach John Calipari sitting courtside, the Kentucky-bound Gilchrist scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead St. Patrick, the No. 1 team in the nation, to 73-61 victory over St. Thomas More before a packed house in the PrimeTime Shootout at Kean’s Harwood Arena.

For years, Kaison Randolph has been watching high school basketball games, waiting for his chance to play on the big stage.

This year, he started right off the bat as a 14-year-old freshman at The Pennington School, a small private school in New Jersey. After 20 games, the 6-foot-2, 165-pound combo guard has already established a name for himself and Saturday afternoon proved to be the biggest moment yet.

While watching a game, Kaison got a phone call from his AAU coach Matt Pauls of Team NJABC. Cincinnati had offered the freshman a scholarship.

On the same day his team will face Rutgers for the second time this season, Seton Hall head coach Kevin Willard dismissed two players from his team.

Willard booted senior guards Keon Lawrence of Newark (pictured) and Jamel Jackson of Brooklyn from the team Saturday.

“The decision was made due to a violation of team rules and an ongoing pattern of conduct unbecoming of a representative of Seton Hall athletics,” the school said in a statement.

Pittsburgh junior guard Ashton Gibbs will not play Saturday night when the No. 4 Panthers visit No. 9 Villanova, but is expected to return either Wednesday against South Florida or Saturday against St. John’s at Madison Square Garden.

“South Florida,” a source close to Gibbs said.

A team source said Gibbs “will not play” against the Wildcats and expected that Gibbs “can come back late next week.’

Jacqui Gibbs, Ashton’s mother, said her son was ready to play Saturday.
