NEW YORK — Even though they are both Russians involved in the high-profile world of the NBA, Timofey Mozgov and Mikhail Prokhorov have never met.
“I know he has money and he’s really smart,” Mozgov, who figures to start at center when the Knicks open the regular season Oct. 27 at Toronto, said of the Nets’ billionaire owner before scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds in the Knicks’ 117-111 win over the Nets at Madison Square Garden.
