Rutgers Tries to Focus on Present, Not Future

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Dane Miller is well aware of the buzz surrounding Rutgers’ 2011 recruiting class and the potential upside of the program’s future.

With six highly regarded players verbally committed for 2011, Mike Rice’s first recruiting class is ranked among the Top 10 nationally.

“Yeah, I’m excited to see all that talent come in and we’ll need to be ready to play, but then again you can’t really look ahead,” Miller, a 6-foot-7 sophomore swingman, said Friday at the RAC.

No, you can’t. Not when you play in the Big East Conference.
