After Training 7 Weeks, Knicks’ Curry Ready to Roll

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — In each of the last two seasons, Eddy Curry has failed to get out of the first day of Knicks’ training camp without injury.

Two years ago, he spent a week in the Saratoga Springs hospital with a bacterial infection and last year he tore a muscle in his right calf.

“They have a nice hospital,” he joked during Knicks’ Media Day.

Yet as Curry enters the final year of his contract where he stands to earn $11.3 million, he says he’s healthy after spending seven weeks training on the Jersey Shore and will be ready to go when training camp starts Saturday.

“I feel great and I definitely feel I can make it through the whole season,” he said.

  • Hmm, anybody seen the report on Bledsoe’s grades? Oh, he was cleared. Awesome. What’s that? No, we won’t have to vacate anything. I guess I was right in not worrying from the outset of this. Haters, you may begin posting if you want.
