Davis to Visit Kentucky, ‘Cuse Before Deciding

Anthony Davis will visit Kentucky and Syracuse later this summer before making his college choice.

As first reported by ZAGSBLOG last month, Davis’s final three remains Kentucky, Syracuse and Ohio State but he has only seen Ohio State.

“We’re still working on the top three,” Anthony Davis Sr. said Monday by phone. “He wants to go see Syracuse and Kentucky.”

Davis, a 6-foot-9, 187-pound forward from Chicago Perspectives Charter School, is currently at the LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron.

Anthony Sr. initially said his son might decide by “mid-July” but that has now been pushed back.

“We’re going to sit down when he comes back from the LeBron Camp and see what dates I can take off from work,” Anthony Sr. said. “We’ll go in August.”

He added:  “He was trying to [decide in July] but it’s a little more than he thought. He’s doing a little research on them and we’ll try to have a decision if not July, then in August.”
