LeBron Says Cavs Have ‘An Edge’

In his first comments about free agency since the Cavaliers season ended, LeBron James tells CNN’s Larry King that his hometown team has “an edge” over the other teams in the mix for his services.

“Absolutely,” James told King in an interview that will air Friday night on CNN’s “Larry King Live.” “Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it’s comfortable. So I’ve got a lot of memories here. So it does have an edge.”

The Knicks, Nets, Bulls, Heat and Clippers figure to be the main challengers for LeBron once free agency begins July 1.

Yet the Cavs can offer James six years and $125 million, while the other teams can only offer five years and $95 million.
