SECAUCUS, N.J. – Mikhail Prokhorov looked a little like an Austin Powers villain even before the NBA draft lottery began.
Once it was announced that Prokhorov and his Nets would not get John Wall with the first pick in the Draft, the brow of the Russian billionaire furrowed even more.
Whether you call him Mike or Michael, as NBA Commissioner David Stern said we should now that Prokhorov has come to America, one thing you should call him is confident.
“If everything goes as planned, I predict that next season we will be in the playoffs and as championship, minimum in one year, maximum five,” he said.

Andy Katz says Wall is very happy with Wizards picking him. Why wouldn’t he be..? After all the crap they went through last year, he’ll be the face of the franchise.

If the Wizards do draft wall that means another NBA team will get Arenas. If the Wizards wanted to keep Arenas drafting Evan Turner would be the better fit.

I hope Wall slips to #2 so the 76er’s can draft him. That will be two Cats on the same team. He would be joining Jodie Meeks, who played really well the last two weeks of the season.
Wall, Josh Howard, and Gilbert Arenas is not a bad backcout. The Wizards would be stupid to pass on Wall.

They will keep Arenas, they would be absolutely STUPID to release him! He is better at the 2 position anyway. A back court of Wall and Arenas would be potent.

I think a backcourt of Turner and Arenas makes more sence. Gilbert at the 2 and Turner at the 1 on offence and vice versa on D.
