LeBron & Wall Together in Jersey?

Imagine John Wall furiously pushing the ball in transition and then dishing off to LeBron James on the wing for a windmill dunk to finish.

If you’re a New Jersey Nets fan, is this pure fantasy or is it within the realm of possibility?

After their 12-70 finish last season, the Nets are in position to acquire both Wall and James to bolster their team as they begin a new era under the ownership of Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov.

The Nets will learn during Tuesday night’s NBA Draft Lottery in Secaucus whether they will secure the rights to use the No. 1 pick on Wall, the 6-foot-4 freshman point guard from Kentucky.

  • another lame attempt to get more traffic to your website. this might as well be UKblog, since every post has some connection to UK or another teams fans are randomly talking sh!t in the comment section

  • wall will either be carrying lebron’s bags or banging lebron’s old bag.

  • can’t even watch espn anymore without some reporter salivating over his free agency scenario. absolutely impossible to watch.

  • Why in the hell would LeBron want to go to the Nets? Only reason he would leave Cleveland is because he wants to win a championship. Is he going to get that with the Nets? Hell no! Nuff said

  • John Wall + LeBron + Lopez + a good coach + a billionaire owner + NY market -> that is plausible.

I think it boils down to Chicago or Cleveland. He has to decide between loyalty or self-glory. I’d bet on Chicago. Maybe he can do a couple of mop-up years back In Cleveland like MJ did in Washington.

  • HA! In that case I hope Wall doesn’t catch what ever was growing on West’s’ lower lip that I’m sure he gave to Lebron’s “old bag”!

  • John Wall
    Lebron James
    John Calipari
    William Wesley

All in New Jersey getting paid by a Russian Mobster.

    What could be more fitting?

Calipari would not have to worry about NCAA investigations.

  • Yeah, I agree. Why leave a team that went 17-65 with absolutely zero talent the year before he got there to join a team that set a record for futility at 12-70 this year and has pretty much zero returning talent. The Cavs couldn’t win anything with Lebron and his supporting cast so I can pretty much guarantee the Nets won’t fare much better even if they get John Wall. Why join the Clippers of the East when he could play for a team that’s a franchise player away from contending in the fragile Eastern Conference right now? Boston and Atlanta are about to get torn apart, Cleveland falls to the back of the pack w/o LBJ so that leaves Orlando (and possibly Miami) as the only real competition.

Lebron to Chicago makes the most sense if he wants to 1. Win Championships 2. Play with a great PG 3. Play in a large market. You can’t do those three things with the Knicks, Nets or Cavs. Next best option might be Miami IF they can resign Wade and IF the two are able to share the ball.

Calipari, Lebron and Rose is starting to look more and more realistic.

  • all cleveland needs is a good coach and a dominant center to make lebron happy. they also need to get rid of west, pronto, if the rumor is true.

  • Its going to TAKE YEARS for that team to be in contention. And do you honestly think they will compete with the Celtics, the Lakers, the Suns, the Spurs, the Magic, anytime soon? Hell no!

LeBron has no shot of winning a championship there! And that’s what he is after.

  • I’m still not sold if LeBron would want to follow in Jordan’s shadow anymore than he already is. Playing in Chicago would make it that much worse.

I just don’t see him going to the Bulls.

I wish the Suns could get him, which I know wont’ happen. The Suns have been about one franchise player away from winning a championship. They just can’t get over the hump in the playoffs and LeBron would fix that.

Although we are playing lights out right now and I think this is our year to take the Lakers, so we’ll see. Everyone knows the Western Conference is where it’s at and where the title will remain again this year. So if LeBron wants a ring next year its either the Suns or the Lakers. 🙂

  • This year LeBron James drama, next year Kevin Durant drama.

  • Add Xavier Henry into the mix with the Bulls, with speculation that Chicago is very interested in Henry. Talk about Irony of a situation. I say cal and LeBron choose the Bulls. Just have to wait and see til tomorrow night, after they hold the Lottery. Then everyone will have better idea on where they want to be.

  • Man …is this more Cal jealousy or just basketball ineptude? John Wall and Lebron James can win 50 games playing as a 2 man team . Sprinkle in some frontline talent and you have at least a semi final team the 1st year . Basketball can be a quick turn around sport and if the Nets get Wall then James they are on their way .

  • I heard the Bulls may try to get Dewayne Wade also

  • “basketball ineptude”

i believe that is what you just posted in its entirety. you leap frogged dumb and dumber and landed on dumbest.

  • name calling and insults with no opinion or factual info is the essence of an inept post …. so I mistyped a word . You probably have no college degree and are a blue collar type with little depth .

  • Using your standard of “insults with no opinion or factual info is the essence of an inept post”, you have achieved an inept post. Good work!

  • sure, you can fantasize all you want and offer nothing close to factual basketball prowess and then not expect to be called out on it?

    1. “John Wall and Lebron James can win 50 games playing as a 2 man team .”

-how did that work out for that 4 man team of kobe, shaq, malone and payton a few years back? wall is all hype and his numbers don’t justly reflect all-america 1st team much less define him as a serious impact player for the nba. bad assist/to ratio, bad 3pt % and bad ft%. (yeah, coach cal knows how to develop players alright.) his fg% is good, but it’s padded with easy layups/dunks which will be tougher to come by in the nba and those TOs … forget about it. mo williams’ NBA stats are comparable to your boy’s ncaa stats and we all know which level carries the prestige. (hell, even the nets’ devin harris has better stats for that matter). without jamison and shaq, this team wins maybe 45. wall just doesn’t measure up nor will account for that void, he’s all hype!

    2. “Sprinkle in some frontline talent and you have at least a semi final team the 1st year”

-again, your ignorance strengthens with every exaggeration. don’t they have more than just a sprinkle of frontline talent already in cleveland? what lebron needs is a team with a dominant fulltime center, not a point guard that can’t hit the 3 from 20’9″ out much less from 23’9″ out.

    3. “Basketball can be a quick turn around sport and if the Nets get Wall then James they are on their way ”

-true, “IF” they get ’em both they can turn things around pretty quick, but we are not talking title or 60 Ws here until they get a durant, bynum, gasol, bosh or howard to help out. all of which appear to be lebron’s primary motivation on choosing a team. a team with all the missing pieces cleveland will never get nor can afford.

    4. “You probably have no college degree and are a blue collar type with little depth .”

-1 thing i have learned along the way is – when someone words sentences as you have above the last thing you impress upon anyone is a scholastic background. another thing i’ve learned is not to stereotype working classes with brains. some of the smartest people in history never set foot on a college campus and some of the dumbest people ever did. YOU, are a compilation of the above! you decipher the inferrence.

  • LOL Very well said TheFinger. Chances are Jersey doesn’t win the lotto tonight anyway.

  • You have issues …… try to work on them . Maybe get laid once in a while .

  • wow! i’m speechless, besides, sex is overrated.
