Findlay (Nev.) Prep point guard Cory Joseph took his fifth and final official visit to UNLV over the weekend and still isn’t certain about what school he’ll attend.
The 6-foot-4 Joseph, the No. 7 overall prospect in the Class of 2010 according to Rivals, has now visited UConn, Villanova, Texas, Minnesota and UNLV and remains open.
“I’m not sure,” Joseph told The Las Vegas Sun. “Not until I feel 100 percent. That’s when I’ll sign.”
Joseph watched as UNLV fell to Kansas State, 95-80, on Saturday.
“It was a tough loss,” Joseph told The Sun. “Kansas State was on and hitting shots and, you know, the ball rolls that way sometimes.
“It won’t [sour] me. I know what type of players they are and what type of guys they are, and I look at the style of play more than if they’re winning this game or that game. That’s their first loss. You can’t really judge them because of that.”
Joseph is a Toronto native who plays alongside fellow Canadian Tristan Thompson at Findlay, the defending national champions. The 6-8 Thompson has signed with Texas. Their friend and fellow Canadian, junior point guard Myck Kabongo of St. Benedict’s Prep, is verbally committed to the Longhorns.
Joseph’s older brother, Devoe, is a sophomore at Minnesota.
