  • Knicks Add Jonathan Bender

    Looking to add depth to their frontcourt, the Knicks on Sunday announced the signing of free agent forward Jonathan Bender.

    Bender, 28, retired from the NBA in 2006 because of chronic knee problems but apparently the Knicks feel he is healthy enough now to contribute. His last NBA game came on Nov. 5, 2005.

    The Knicks gave him their last roster sport and reportedly signed him to a non-guaranteed contract for the remainder of the season that will pay him the veteran’s minimum.

    • (off topic) I’m kinda shocked ‘Nova went down. I thought they had been a bit over rated (not by much, top ten, not top 5), but I really wasn’t expecting them to go down to Temple. Seriously. Hope a new post comes talking about it since this is a Big East site.
