Binghamton put men’s basketball coach Kevin Broadus on an indefinite paid leave of absence Wednesday after he was found to have violated NCAA rules last week.FoxSports.com reported that Broadus had spoken with two student-athletes at Fitchburg (Mass.) Notre Dame Prep on October 6, one day after the NCAA contact period had ended.
This incident was the latest black eye for a Binghamton program in the midst of a national scandal after one player, Emanuel “Tiki” Mayben, was caught distributing crack cocaine and five other players, including former Rutgers guard Corey Chandler, were dismissed from the program.
