After I initally posted this earlier today, I came across Kyrie’s interview with DimeMag where he says this about Duke.
“I guess you could say that I’m leaning toward Duke. I’m just not ready to commit. It was my first visit and of course I’m really high on them and like I said I have that feeling, but I think it’s only smart to compare it to something,” the 6-2 Irving said.
He added: “Well, I’ve got that feeling with Duke, but I want to go on a few more visits to compare it all. I’m not ready to commit yet. I just want to make sure everything is right. Duke and Indiana were my top two schools, and Duke is up there, but I like the other schools too.”
Irving visited Duke last weekend and speculation followed that a commitment was imminent.
Duke appears to be the clear leader at this point, but Irving has not yet committed.
“I think he would probably be Mike Krzyzewski’s best point guard since Jason Williams,” said New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski.

Despite rumors that Irving won’t take his slated visit Oct. 9 to Texas A&M, Drederick Irving says his son still plans to go.
“Still on,” he wrote in a text.
Asked if Irving would still take all four of his remaining visits to A&M, Kentucky (Oct. 16), Georgia Tech (Oct. 23) and Seton Hall (Oct. 30), Drederick said, “One visit at at time.”
Irving indicated via Twitter that he planned on attending Kentucky for Big Blue Madness Oct. 16.
“We are still going to uk for big blue madness,” he Tweeted.
Asked by Dime if he was definitely going on the Seton Hall visit, he said: “I’m not sure yet.”
