Brandon Knight, the top prospect in the nation out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Pine Crest, enjoyed his weekend visit to UConn and will visit several other schools before deciding — potentially in the spring.
“He had a good visit,” Pine Crest coach Dave Beckerman said Tuesday by phone before he took off for Italy for two weeks.
“He respects a great deal the UConn progmam and what they have done to develop kids to get to the pro ranks, which is an objective of his.”
Having missed out on guards Kyrie Irving and Josh Selby, UConn appears to be targeting the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Knight and Cory Joseph of Findlay (Nev.) Prep, who is tentatively slated to visit UConn Oct. 16. Joseph plans to cut his list and make it public in the coming days.
Knight has already visited Kentucky officially and plans to visit Kansas OCt. 16 for “Late Night in the Phog.”
Duke, Miami and Syracuse are also involved and Beckerman said Knight will likely visit Duke.
“He’s slowly starting to see the difference in programs,” Beckerman said.
“He’s starting to evaluate the differences between the progams and what program will fit his style of play and what program will enhance his game. Not only the program, it’s the coach as well. These are things that they’re looking at.”
Beckerman continues to believe Knight will wait until the spring to commit.
“Yes, they’re still looking at a longer-term decision,” he said.
TERRENCE JONES CUTS LIST
Terrence Jones, the No. 3 PF in the nation out of Portland (Ore.) Jefferson, has cut his list and is considering these schools, according to his mother, Linda Mashia-Jones: UCLA, OKLAHOMA, WASHINGTON, KENTUCKY, ARIZONA and KANSAS. He will also tak an unofficial to OREGON.

With the potential windfall about to occur, as talented as Knight is, would Duke even have room for him?

Yeah, like K wouldn’t make room for this guy. Please…it’s not like Duke has been getting a lot of stud guards lately so it would be pretty amazing to not find a spot for him.

If they land Kyrie Irving, Austin Rivers, Harrison Barnes, and Brad Beal in the coming weeks, in addition to Nolan Smith, Andre Dawkins and Seth Curry, there are only between 80-120 available minutes in the backcourt.
There isn’t that significant a margin of difference between Kyrie Irving and Brandon “Mute” Knight. It’s a matter of valuation and allocation of resources, Woody.
Don’t worry. It’s a moot issue, as Knight has been served up on a platter for Jim Calhoun, by his close friend Beckerman (who made his money founding and then bankrupting Starter).

AZ,
There is some more talk that TJ will shorten his list even more, by this week?
TJ can not take six official visits.
TJ and company must shorten the list.
So, the school which does NOT get a visit is OUT of the TJ recruiting race.
Or if the list is trimmed to FOUR schools or THREE SCHOOLs….
With THREE schools, TJ can make a quick decision and commit soon.
With THREE schools, TJ can focus on the substance of what the coaches have to say…and see if there is TRUST. TRUST in the coach is important.
Some would say ucla, kentucky and kansas are the likely ones out.
Oregon is not a serious contenter. (like the Seton Hall of the West…u know.)
Note:
Have you seen the video of this…but, editied.
It has the face of a RECRUIT imposed on the video.

Lew really has to do something about this.
He had enough time to review ALL the fights.

Again, love to know where you get your speculation…I mean info. Self just had an in-home on Sunday and considering Jones is from the same High School as Aaron Miles and Michael Lee (who just happened to play at KU and helped the Jayhawks get to back-to-back Final Fours) I’d say our chances are still as good as any.
Why do you keep putting up that link? Do think that’s hurting KU’s recruiting & helping yours?
FYI Perkins isn’t going to do anything. Self has already dished out the punishment to the team. Time to move on. The team has…why haven’t you?

Your coach at Kansas is running an asylum of criminals. He is also a crook along with Calipari as the most corrupt coaches in the country. They travel with a bag of cash to hand out and it is only a matter of time before he is going to get caught. Take that to the bank rocksuckjayhawk fans!

When Self has to vacate a final four or two we can consider him in the same class as Calipari. Roy Williams and Coach K each have things on their resume far worse than Self, so if Self’s a ‘corrupt coach’ I’d love to hear who’s clean.
