I just talked to Turgenia Knight, Brandon Knight’s mother, and she says Brandon is considering more than just the five schools mentioned the other day.

She said Duke is also on the list that includes UConn, Kentucky, Kansas, Miami and Florida.

She said several other schools are in the mix and would get back to me later today, but Syracuse, Miami, Georgia Tech and Florida State are also listed on his Rivals page.

“It’s those [five] schools probably  with about four additional ones added on to that list,” she said. “Duke would be added onto that list. About four additional schools.”

She said Brandon, the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2010 out of Ft Lauderdale (FL) Pine Crest, had the complete list and that she was working on arranging visits.

Torrel Harris better warm up the coffee and get some cookies ready. He and his family plan to host 11 in-home visits for Tobias Harris beginning Sept. 9.

“We are finalizing some home visits and we’ll really have strong interviews with these coaches to see how his style of play fits into their game style of play,” Torrel said Thursday in Manhattan at a practice for Friday’s Boost Mobile Elite 24 event.

“We’re trying to watch those situations where coaches will allow him to show his versatility.”

Here’s the schedule, which was emailed to me and then confirmed by Torrel.

Arizona, Maryland, Providence, Seton Hall, St. Anthony, St. John's, Tobias Harris

St. Anthony forward Devon Collier is one of the most talented and intriguing players in the New York metropolitan area.

Adam Berkowitz, Collier’s adviser with the New Heights AAU program, said Collier’s list at this point includes Providence, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Maryland, Oregon State and Arizona.

“I don’t have [any] favorites,” Collier, ranked No. 134 in the Rivals150 in the Class of 2010, said recently. “I’m still open.”

The 6-foot-8, 205-pound Collier just returned from an unofficial visit to Providence on Friday.

Brandon Knight, the No. 1 prospect in the Rivals150 for the Class of 2010, has narrowed his list to a top five, according to an interview his mother, Turgenia, gave to Dustin Rumbaugh of Kentuckysportsradio.com.

“Brandon’s top five are UConn, Kentucky, Kansas, Miami and Florida,” she said.

She added that Knight would have an in-home visit with Kentucky coach John Calipari and his staff in mid-September and also take an official to campus then.

Kentucky is involved with nearly every top point guard in the nation, including Knight, Cory Joseph, Joe Jackson and Kyrie Irving, as well as combo guards Doron Lamb and Josh Selby.

“They’re recruiting me, so I’m definitely considering Kentucky,” Knight, out of Ft Lauderdale (FL) Pine Crest, told me earlier this month.
