Schiano Talks Football; Jackson to Notre Dame

Hit the play button to hear Rutgers coach Greg Schiano’s latest comments on the post-Mike Teel/Kenny Britt Era in Piscataway.

In other RU football news, the Texas Southern game has been moved to Oct. 10 from Oct. 3. The game was moved back one week to allow both Rutgers and Pittsburgh the same amount of time to prepare for their game Oct. 16 at Rutgers Stadium.

The game vs. the Tigers on Oct. 10 will serve as Homecoming for the Scarlet Knights. The kickoff time will be announced later this summer.

In other football news, WR Bennett Jackson of Raritan High committed to Notre Dame on Sunday. The 6-foot,168-pound Jackson chose Notre Dame over Michigan State and Pittsburgh.

“I just really liked Notre Dame a lot,” Jackson, who visited Notre Dame May 23, told The Star-Ledger. “When I went out there, I felt really comfortable with the coaches and the players. There wasn’t anything bad or negative I can think of. Notre Dame just had all positives.”
