ROCK 'n' ROLL RUNDOWN: Live Dead at MSG

My wife and I and some friends went to The Dead show Saturday night at MSG…The place was packed and the guys sounded great. Would it have been better with Jerry Garcia singing St. Stephen? Sure, but Jerry’s gone and he ain’t comin’ back.

Phil Lesh, Bobby Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Warren Haynes (who doubles with The Allman Brothers Band) sounded terrific…Here’s the setlist below. “Ship of Fools,” “Sugaree,” “St. Stephen,” “Gimme Shelter” and “Brokedown Palace” were among my favs.

Gotta love a Cosmic Charlie -> China Cat

Knowing you are a Dead fan adds to my respect for this blog. It’s already pretty strong.

Now just report Wall -> Kentucky!
