The Red Storm (12-13, 3-10 Big East), who are mired in the bottom half of the brutal 16-team Big East, will step outside of conference play Thursday night for a nationally televised game against No. 9 Duke (20-5, 7-4 ACC) at Madison Square Garden. The contest will tip at 7 o’clock on ESPN.

It is the 11th consecutive year St. John’s has faced Duke. A year ago, the Blue Devils hammered the Red Storm 86-56 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

  • Any early word if Kyrie Irving is attending?

  • I did not see him or Lance here.

  • Thanks.
It was packed, by St. John’s standards, but the only recruit I could definitely observe was Omari Lawrence, who has managed to make it to the majority of the MSG version of home games.
