Latest on Mike Glover, DeAndre Kane

For those interested in the whereabouts of former Seton Hall forward Mike Glover, he’s currently at ASA, a start-up JUCO program in New York.

“He’s in school here and he’s been in school for our fall semester,” said Kenny Wilcox, the ASA coach. “He needs some credits to get eligible for junior college and we’re working on that. We hope to have him on the court in a couple of weeks, in or around Feb. 1.”

Wilcox said a return to Division 1 was a ways off.

“For him to go back Division 1, a lot has to happen in the next two years,” he said. “It’s early in the process. No one’s officially recruiting him right now.”

Glover has the potential to be a Top 10 JUCO player but must get in shape.

“In junior college Mike working hard and in shape woudl be one of the Top 10 junior college players in the country,” Wilcox said.

“He needs that time to really work hard and get in game shape.”

DEANDRE KANE OPEN

Also, the latest turn of events in the DeAndre Kane saga is that he now says he’s open and hasn’t committed to Seton Hall.

“DeAndre said he is open,” Patterson School coach Chris Chaney wrote Wednesday in a text message.

Kane told Jeff Borzello the same thing last weekend in Springfield, Mass.

“Nah,” Kane scoffed when asked if his commitment to the Pirates was strong. “I’m going to wait until April.”
