Jamie Skeen has chosen to transfer to VCU, choosing that school over Seton Hall and South Florida, according to a source.
Skeen was declared ineligible for the fall semester at Wake Forest for violating the school’s academic policy and told the team that he would not appeal for reinstatement to the university.

Looks like Lance Stephenson and the Lincoln Railsplitters won’t get to play on ESPNU on Tuesday.
Lincoln lost to Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler, 101-84, Saturday night in the quarterfinals of the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. Dylan Butler has a great blog about it at fiveborosports.com.
ESPNU will telecast the first-and third-place games on Tuesday. Lincoln will play Philly Roman Catholic for fifth place on Monday at 3:30.

It was a Big Day for the Big East, with UConn and Syracuse both winning nationally televised games, St. John’s rolling into the finals of the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden and Rutgers getting another strong performance from its freshmen studs.

**In Seattle, A.J. Price had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lift No. 2 UConn over No. 8 Gonzaga, 88-84, in OT. Jerome Dyson scored six of his 21 in the extra period. Price drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation to send it to OT. Read that story here.

Seton Hall had hoped to get word on Keon Lawrence’s waiver by Friday, the last day of final exams.
Had the 6-foot-2, 175-pound junior been granted the waiver by then, he would have been permitted to suit up for tonight’s IUPUI game at the Prudential Center.
Because the NCAA is a business like any other, it will be taking time off over the holidays. According to a source, that means that Seton Hall probably won’t hear anything on the matter for at least a little while.
