N'Diaye's Dunk Makes Statement; Recruiting Notes

PRINCETON, N.J. — Hamady N’Diaye leaped high above the rim and dunked home a Mike Coburn miss to give Rutgers a three point lead with 10.6 seconds left against Princeton at Jadwin Gym.

N’Diaye’s athletic play and two foul shots in the final seconds by JR Inman helped insure a 49-44 victory by the Scarlet Knights instead of another ignominious loss in its non-conference schedule.

“The dunk to me was just the play that I had to make for my team,” said N’Diaye, a 6-foot-11 junior center originally from Senegal. “I saw the opportunity and I just took it because we needed some points. It was a close game.”
