Tobias Harris Has Busy Week Ahead (Revised)

Tobias Harris is planning a bunch of visits next week.

The 6-foot-8 combo forward from Dix Hills Half Hollow Hills West heads to Maryland (Monday), Georgetown (Tuesday) and Virginia (Wednesday). On Friday, he will go to Syracuse for their Elite Camp.

Harris then heads to Louisville for the Louisville-Kentucky football game Aug. 31.

“Coach (Walter) McCarty asked me to come that day,” Harris told CardinalSports.com. “I came down before once, and I liked it. Me and my dad want to come down there again and see it.”

As previously reported here, Harris is also considering transferring to either Long Island Lutheran or South Kent (Conn.), according to his father, Torrel.

Harris is the No. 21 power forward in the Class of 2010 and has numerous scholarship offers. Rutgers has made him a prime target for the Class of 2010.

A year ago, he scored 52 points in one game and scored his 1,000th career point as a sophomore.
