Laing to Play with Nets in Summer League

Former Seton Hall standout Brian Laing will play with the Nets in the Orlando Summer League.

The 6-foot-5 Laing, a first-team All-Big East selection last year, averaged 18.6 points and 6.9 rebounds last season.

Laing worked out with the Nets earlier this month and earned the summer league invitation, according to Colin Stephenson of the Star-Ledger.

Joining Laing on the summer league team will be Julius Hodge, who also played at St. Raymond’s in the Bronx, and the Nets three draft picks, Brook Lopez, Ryan Anderson and Chris Douglas-Roberts. The league runs July 7-11.
